Säli-Schlössli Olten (Neu-Wartburg)
The Säli-Schlössli (formerly Neu-Wartburg) was built as the second center of the small clearing domain of the Lords of Ifenthal.
Today, the Säli-Schlössli is a popular restaurant for day trips. In 1539, the Hallwyl family purchased the Neu-Wartung along with the domain from the city of Solothurn. The name Säli-Schlössli comes from the Sächeli family of Dilliken, who served as fire watchmen at the castle from 1547 to 1776. The castle fell into disrepair, however, until it was finally acquired by the municipality of Olten in 1863. Many years later, the Säli-Schlössli as we know it today was built.
The menu is family-friendly and features fresh, seasonal, and regional ingredients.
