Solothurn Canton Tourism – Committed to tourism development!

Under a service agreement with the Canton of Solothurn, the Solothurn Tourism Association (KST) is tasked with safeguarding and promoting the interests of the Canton of Solothurn in the field of tourism. The Economic Development Agency provides the KST with recurring operating grants for this purpose.

KST represents cantonal and regional interests in overarching organizations with the same or similar objectives, namely Switzerland Tourism and the Swiss Tourism Federation. To achieve its goals, KST collaborates with regional tourism organizations and cantonal authorities. KST, a tax-exempt association, has approximately 30 members. Local and regional tourism organizations, as well as tourism service providers and industry organizations of supraregional significance, are eligible for membership.

The Executive Board represents the interests of the association’s members and the tourist regions. It also supports the Executive Director in strategic planning. Its members are as follows: President Anita Panzer; Stefan Ulrich (Olten Region Tourism); Goran Arnaut (Gastro Solothurn); Benedikt Fluri (Thal Region); Bernhard Christen (Solothurn Tourism); Sara Herder (Jurasonnenseite); Marcel Schenker (Forum Schwarzbubenland); Bernhard von Allmen (Pro Buechibärg); Andreas Fluri (MUSESOL – Museum Network of the Canton of Solothurn); and Reto Spiegel (Egerkingen Tourism). Tina Neuenschwander (railtour) serves as the delegate for the Canton of Solothurn.

The office is located in Olten and is headed by Stefan Ulrich, the executive director of Region Olten Tourism (ROT). Ladina Schödler, who handles online marketing and project management at ROT, is in charge of operational tasks.

In addition to its administrative duties, the office handles marketing tasks, serves as a liaison and point of contact for the tourism regions, and is responsible for member recruitment and support. It also provides information and distributes informational materials to the general public.

Finally, she represents KST in organizations relevant to tourism, serves as a liaison between the tourism industry, political authorities, and the cantonal administration, and, as an advocate, serves on committees and working groups that address tourism-related issues.

We would be delighted if you, too, would support the development of tourism in our canton by becoming a member of the Solothurn Tourism Association. Welcome!
