St. Leodegar Collegiate Church, Schönenwerd

The Collegiate Church of St. Leodegar, with its cloister, is the oldest listed religious building in the canton of Solothurn and was first mentioned in 778 AD as the “Klösterli Werith.” It is of national historical significance and features frescoes from 1628 by Paul Wiederkehr, Romanesque arcades, and Rococo stucco work inside. Adjacent to the west side of the collegiate church is a large linden tree park with a beautiful view.
