Route No. 211: Wandflue Trail Untergrenchenberg – Untergrenchenberg
This trail first winds through pastures and then follows the ridge above the imposing Wandflue. With views of the Alpine range from Säntis to Mont Blanc, the trail crosses the high plateau. On the way back, you’ll pass a memorial stone honoring Federal Councilor Willi Ritschard.
Route No. 212: Fuchsboden Trail Untergrenchenberg – Untergrenchenberg
The magnificent Alpine panorama, with the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau at its center, welcomes snowshoe hikers on the Untergrenchenberg. The loop trail then leads past the once-proud Längschwang mountain farm and the memorial stone for the popular Solothurn Federal Councilor Willi Ritschard, who passed away here in 1983.
