Founded in 2009, the Solothurn Canton Museum Association (MUSESOL) now has over 60 members and promotes supraregional coordination and cooperation among museums and collections in the canton of Solothurn.
The Mission
MUSESOL represents the interests of its members to the outside world and highlights the diverse offerings of the museums and collections. Through joint appearances and initiatives, they generate greater public attention and a stronger public presence.
What They Offer
Professional Development and Knowledge Sharing: They offer a comprehensive program of professional development opportunities and facilitate the exchange of experiences between professional and volunteer organizations.
International Museum Day: Every May, MUSESOL coordinates its members’ joint participation in International Museum Day to showcase the cultural diversity and rich heritage of the Canton of Solothurn.
