The Jura at its best: lovely hills, rugged ravines, and various mountain inns. This stage follows the ridge of the southernmost Jura range, offering wonderful views across the Bernese Seeland all the way to the Alps. A thrilling descent into the Baroque city of Solothurn.
Stage 3, Weissenstein–Balsthal
From Weissenstein, the route winds through the varied, typical Jura mountain range landscape of the Naturpark Thal. After descending through the forest, a steep climb leads up to the second Jura mountain range.
