The Christian Schenker Family Tour surprises visitors with fun and entertaining stories and songs at 11 audio stations throughout Olten’s car-free old town. All visitors—young and old—can pick up a discovery map at the Tourist Center or the Hotel Astoria, which is full of exciting things to count and discover.
Here’s how it works: Using your own smartphone or tablet, you can scan the QR codes located at the 11 listening stations and enjoy the two- to four-minute songs and stories. Use your camera or download a free QR code scanner from the App Store (for Apple iOS) or the Google Play Store (for Android). The family tour with the puzzle fun takes about 2 hours—but be warned: Hardly anyone manages to finish it in that time. Olten has so much to offer. There are places to stop and rest, spots to enjoy excellent food, and new things to discover around every corner. Once all the puzzles have been solved correctly, the children can pick up a reward at the Tourist Center or the Hotel Astoria.
