Egerkinger Poetry Trail

The Poetry Trail begins at the Nackgrube in Egerkingen, above Fridau, and ends at Blüemlismatt. Of course, you can also walk it in the opposite direction. The trail is meant to symbolize the journey of life that we humans are on. The Poetry Trail leads forest visitors to 14 stations, each featuring a poetic text. The poems were written by Christoph Schwager, an author and theater artist. He grew up in Egerkingen and now lives in Härkingen.

The poetic texts vary in form and content: light, heavy, funny, critical, down-to-earth, surreal… They are like windows through which one can glimpse life, and a source of inspiration for one’s own thoughts.
